New Year's message

I have a good feeling about 2014. It is a nice round number with no superstitious connotations attached to it, unlike the number 2013. The other reason I have a good feeling about 2014, is due to the fact that I am going to do some very BIG stuff this year (that will have to remain a secret for now, but I will let you know when it gets closer to happening). Fortunately, I am not going to start this year with a parking ticket (like last year!) What a way to start a new year, getting a parking ticket on New Year's Day! That was not what you would call an auspicious beginning! Then four days later, I had a car accident. Luckily, nobody, including me, got hurt. But still, those two events were definitely not good signs for the year ahead. (And then the huge price tag for fixing my bunged up car! Ouch!) So you see, it can only go up from here and therefore I am actually quite happy to say goodbye to 2013.

This year, I plan to get no more parking tickets (or as few as possible, and definitely not during this first month of the new year). I also plan on having no more accidents. That is an easy one because I am such an awesome driver (if I do say so myself!) and I learned a huge lesson from last year's fender bender: get winter tires! Which I did (also at a huge cost, but hey, I need to stay alive and write for you folks after all! So the price was worth it)

Also, last year I got very depressed and it lasted for 4 months. This year, I solemnly swear not to get depressed, no matter what the circumstances in my life may be. I will rise above them! ROAR! (I am going to be like Katy Perry in her new video - ROAR! "I got the eye of the tiger, the fire, dancing through the fire, cause I am a champion and you're gonna hear me roooOOOAAARRR!")

Okay, so do you want to hear my plan for how I will make 2014 a year to remember?

Well, first off, I am going to live more in the moment and enjoy all the good things in my life. And there are plenty! Like where I live, my job, my friends, my singing, my writing... the list goes on and on. Secondly, I am going to believe in myself more, and lastly, I am going to be a more chillin' relaxed chickie and not take life so damned seriously all the time!

I am going to dance more. Because dancing makes you happy. And dancing is a sign of sexual confidence! LOL

I am master of my destiny and I say that 2014 is going to be a GREAT year! ROOOOAAAARRRR!
